Return of the Elblondino

Good evening/morning/afternoon (delete where apliccable) one and all. I have returned from beyond the void, or in other words the move has finally happened and normal service is to be resumed. If you didn't know I have moved South of the river from Yorkshire to North East Lincolnshire. To a land of fish and sausages!!!

Anyway more importantly I now have an office with actual room in it and can do wonderful geeky things to entertain and enthral you all. This aside I'm currently really busy working on some exciting comic projects with a team of really talented and somewhat disturbed artists and writers. One of these projects 'Blackout' is a fantastically dark anthology which will be ready for Thought Bubble in November. It is a collaborative piece with PM Buchan, Jack Fallows, Phil Marsden and Andrew Waugh. With me taking an unexpected post as colourist on a couple of strips. Just wait until you see it, its going to be awesome!!!

There are also commission pieces along with the latest bits for the Bleed magazine among other things so all in all exciting times ahead.

More Infinity

A while back I started collecting some miniatures for Infinity. With a nice little band of troops for my Ariadna force all ready for some paint (I know It's taking me ages) already, I was lucky enough to receive some reinforcements through the post from a Twitter friend. As with the previous models the detail on them is gorgeous and should be an absolute joy to paint. Below are the latest additions to the force
Picture
A Zouaves with Heavy Machine Gun for some extra firepower. Plus I absolutely love these larger scenic bases Corvus Belli put on some of the models.
Picture
A Moblot with Panzerfaust which will again provide a nice little punch to the force.

And last but not least two more Metros. One with a rifle and one with DEP giving yet more firepower to the force all at a very reasonable points cost too. Below is the army list for my Ariadna so far thanks to the cracking army generator on the Infinity website. This brings me up to a nice 212 points.

Character Development

10/4/2012

Since getting into the Promarkers I have been playing around with sketches for all the different characters in Cornelius. From the very outset I knew the 'Bastion' would have some kind of steam powered monster to hold the line against the evil zombotic horde. So with that in mind I present to you 'Big Tommy'.
'Big Tommy' is a steam powered bipedal mechanised combat suit. The brain child of corporal Tommy Atkins, the diminutive Bastion chief engineer (hence the name). 'Big Tommy' is armed with a belt fed Gatling gun mounted to his right arm. He is extremely powerful and resilient but not particularly fast or agile. Along with featuring in the comic, 'Big Tommy' will be made into a 28mm scale model for use in the game I'm currently developing. More character sketches coming soon.

Branching out

As is usual with me my mind has been buzzing with ideas left right and centre lately. Mostly involving Cornelius and all things Zombot. The latest idea is this little chap below. It needs a bit of work as this only the prototype. Ideally I think a bit of Steam punkification is called for but at the end of the day it depends what you guys think. Would anybody out there be interested in one off original Zombot Iphone cases.?! If so let me know and I'll get something sorted. More projects to follow shortly in the build up to Thought Bubble.
